Tactile model of Krka canyon (NP Krka)
The 3D CNC milled relief model of the Krka river canyon is made of 50 mm thick MDF with dimensions of 1200×700 mm. The narrower parts of the river course were subsequently added by hand routing, after which the river and lakes were filled with epoxy resin. Given that the main purpose of the model was to evoke the Krka canyon for visually impaired and blind people, the waterfalls were additionally emphasized by adding air bubbles and manually smoothing the furrows. The surface of the MDF is coated with canvas to further emphasize the rough terrain.
Interactive model of Ključica fortress (NP Krka)
The model is made of hardwood oak and consists of 6 separate parts so that children of all ages can get to know the layout of the fort through a simple game of assembly and enjoy acquiring new knowledge.
Animal tracks (NP Krka)
The six-piece set of wooden stamps of different sizes enables children to familiarize themselves with the tracks of important animals present in the Krka National Park area.
Earth’s crust (NP Krka)
The styrofoam model of the earth’s crust is hand-painted and serves as part of the educational display.
Neretva Valley (Natural History Museum Metković)
The 3D CNC milled styrofoam relief model of the Neretva River valley and delta is part of a large EU project for the improvement of the city of Metković and a new part of the permanent museum exhibition in the Natural History Museum Metković. The model is made of 12 parts, total dimensions 1836x3146x150mm, the surface is smoothed using modeling techniques and painted white to allow projection of satellite images onto the surface.
Life-size silhouettes of people (Native Museum of Benkovac)
Silhouettes of people from different historical periods and different occupations (a Roman woman, a woman from Bukovica, a farmer, a modern soldier) made of three-layer MDF and protected with white varnish are part of the permanent exhibition of the Native Museum in Benkovac.
Graphic map (Native Museum Benkovac)
The hanging graphic map of the Benkovac area is made of styrofoam with a chipboard substructure and a steel frame, surface treated and prepared for projections that show the development of settlements in the Benkovac area from ancient times to modern times. For easier orientation, a wind rose is placed on the floor of the room, which coincides with the real sides of the world.
Model of Benković Castle (Native Museum Benkovac)
The model of the Benković castle is made of hardwood beech, poplar plywood, Plexiglas and styrofoam. As the castle has undergone numerous changes throughout history, the model is made of three separate segments that show three periods in which the hardwood represents the basic castle, the plexiglas parts the extension compared to the previous period and the plywood the extension from the previous period which remained unchanged. The styrofoam base faithfully follows the real terrain. The model is made in scale 1:100.
Model of Da Vinci’s Cannon (Native Museum Benkovac)
In a tower not far from Benkovac, the remains of a three-barreled cannon as depicted by Da Vinci in his sketches were found, so the Museum decided to display a 1:10 model of the cannon alongside the real barrels so that visitors could get an impression of how the barrels were placed in the old days. The model is made of solid beech and brass.
The relief of Žumberak mountains (Visitor’s Center Sošice, PP Žumberačko gorje)
The relief of the terrain of the Žumberak mountains and its surroundings was made out of styrofoam and finished with modeling techniques in order to serve as a base for various educational projections – changes in vegetation through time, demographic changes through time, …
Ship’s hull, anchor chain and admiral’s anchor (Seafarers’ House, Kostrena)
Model of the lower part of the ship’s hull, dimensions 392x64x27cm, made of styrofoam, next to which is placed a 3D printed anchor chain connected to a wooden replica of the admiral’s anchor (dimensions 77x89x86cm). The entire composition is part of a permanent exhibition that evokes the undersea port and shows its impact on the undersea ecology.
Tactile relief of Mosor
The tactile model of Mosor made of styrofoam measuring 150x90cm with markers marking important points (peaks, springs, mountain lodges, …) is intended for blind and partially sighted people who want to experience the natural beauty of this massif.
CNC milling of parts for furniture for kindergartens affected by the earthquake (Iverpan’s project “I live in colors”)
As part of Iverpan’s “I live in colors” project, we helped with the CNC processing of parts for the production of furniture used to equip three kindergartens from the Zagreb area that were damaged in the earthquake in March 2020.
